Usage of Jar2Exe

Overview

Jar2Exe is a tool to generate exe file from jar file. Jar2Exe itself runs on Windows only, but it can generate exe files for Windows and Linux. Jar2Exe has 2 editions: 32 bit edition and 64 bit edition.

Jar2Exe has 2 modes to run: it can run as a Wizard Window, or it can also run as a Command Line Tool.

Download and Install

According to your requirements, you can select to download and install the proper edition.

Wizard Usage

To start Jar2Exe as a Wizard Windows, you can click the shortcuts on Desktop or Start Menu, or run "j2ewiz" without parameter. Then you can follow the Wizard steps to generate exe files from jar files.

Jar2Exe Wizard has 8 steps all, 6 steps is for creating exe file, one step for registration of Jar2Exe, one step for configuration after generated.

Command Line Usage

To use Jar2Exe as a Command Line Tool, you can pass required parameters to command "j2ewiz". Type "j2ewiz /?" at command line for tips of usage.

At the last step of Jar2Exe Wizard, you can click "Get Cmd Line" button to get the equivalent "command line string", so usually it is not necessary to write the command line by yourself.
